Manila, Philippines– Last night, February 12, 2014, KATA joined the trade launch of DWIZ 882 of Aliw Broadcasting Corp., a radio station that operates a 50,000 watt transmitter in Mega Manila.
DWIZ 882 partners with RPN 9 to expand reach and gather more revenues
The event was held at Club Haze Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig and was graced by remarkable people from different companies including top advertisers, print and publication media such as Top Gear Summit/Media, vehicle brand representatives from Chevrolet and various notable press groups. Also in attendance were the leading and prominent broadcasters in the Philippines including Dong Puno and Alex Santos of ABS-CBN. Furthermore, representatives from the leading business newspaper, Business Mirror, were also there including VP for Advertising Sales, Marvin Estigoy, Advertising Sales Manager, Aldwin Tolosa and Stock Market Investment columnist, Marvin Germo. Besides the presence of their corporate affiliates such as Aliw Broadcasting Corporation, 97.9 Home and Home Radioke, Advertising Manager, Mina Satorre and Account Manager Fruel Rebellon from Pilipino Mirror were also spotted.
KATA, on the other hand, supported the promising AM radio station’s trade launching by their representatives including Country Manager, Mr. Manuel Delos Santos; Overall Assistant Manager, Melchor Villamor; Sales & Marketing Manager, Christine Bernardo and Online Marketing Officer, Raisa Montoya. The mobile and tablet company believes that the radio network is a potent tool for exposure despite the emerging age of digital media and the internet.

There were demo tables set at the entrance of the venue where guests can access the KATA units including i3, Venus 3 and FishTab 3.
Rey Langit, a multi-awarded Filipino Broadcaster and Vice President and Station Manager of DWIZ, opened the program and acknowledged the presence of these advertising partners and prospects.
The trade presentation unveiled not just the slate of new programs and project offerings of the radio station but as well as its partnership with the partly government-owned Radio Philippines Network Inc. (RPN). They have signed up a memorandum of agreement wherein DWIZ-produced shows will be aired simultaneously on RPN stations. Aside from that, DWIZ and RPN took pride of their collaboration in expanding their reach not just nationwide but globally.
Jimmy Bondoc setting the mood in the event with his own renditions of songs
Jimmy Bondoc, country’s top crooner, appeared onstage and serenaded the audience with his rousing performance of songs including the popular “Let Me Be The One”. It preceded the raffle draw made by Ricky Alegre, Business Mirror VP for Corporate Affairs and Jude Garcia, VP Sales Marketing department of Aliw Broadcasting Corp. and DWIZ, Doggie Quiapon, Account Executive of DWIZ and broadcaster Jo Salcedo.

KATA sponsored the event and offered its premium Android devices including KATA FishTab 3 tablet and KATA i3 smartphone as prizes to the raffle draw. Travel tour packages and watches from other sponsors including Air Asia and Unisilver were also given away to the lucky participants. Meanwhile, DEVANT, BangkaPro and Philippine Airlines also supported the trade launching.
As a mobile company exploring the possibilities of what is out there, KATA aims to further establish global expansion, online presence and other strategies including tapping a radio station that can provide comprehensive and credible news coverage. KATA wishes to work in tandem with DWIZ and hopefully ascertain a sturdy rapport in the coming years.
