Kata Conquers the South on its Kata Store Launching

Manila, Philippines—Kata, a mobile and tablet brand that specializes in mobile phone applications research and device design, has just launched its 3rd flagship Kata Store branch in Robinsons Pace Lipa last February 1, 2014. Aside from the official opening of their latest establishment, they’ve also launched their latest smartphone offering, the Kata i3.

The newly constructed concept store at 2nd floor of Robinsons Lipa in Batangas apparently carries all the featured Kata smartphones, tablets and desktop PC including i1, i2, Venus 3, T2, FishTab 3 and Maya Atom. Besides that, it also has a wide selection of Kata accessories. Furthermore, just like the other Kata Store branches in Manila, the establishment was also set with demo tables where customers can try out the different Kata devices while well-trained staffs assist them.

Together with the launching of Kata Store, they have also launched their most recent smartphone, the Kata i3. It is the successor from their line of mobile products ranging from the fast, thin and light, Kata FishTab 3; the ideal smartphone, Kata i2; and the value at its best, Kata Venus 3.


The new Kata i3 smartphone boasts a 5-inch Super HD display with a superb 1.3 GHz quad core processor and 1GB RAM which in fact can manifest good performance. It runs also the 4.2.2 Android Jellybean operating system and has a 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera. One of the best features of the Kata i3 is their camera that delivers best quality photos with most advanced photo editing tools. Its internal memory is 16GB that is expandable up to 32GB, thus can store more applications and other various media files.

People were able to experience the functionality of Kata i3 through the demo units provided in the store. Aside from that, they were also given the chance to win one through a raffle draw and “Spin-to-Win”. The event was filled with locals from Batangas and shoppers alike who wanted to witness the unveiling of the Kata i3 dubbed as an invincible smartphone. The said event was hosted by Christopher Dy, a Kata product specialist.

On the other hand, Maricris Aluning, Product Manager of Kata presented a demo by introducing the special features of Kata i3 which includes “Gesture” and “Gloves”. The “Gesture” allows its users to run the Kata i3 smartphone even in standby mode while the “Gloves”, as the name suggests, allows anyone to navigate through the smartphone even while wearing gloves. Ms. Maricris also highlighted the Fish Market application and soon-to-be-released Fish Cloud.

The event ended up with the “Spin-toWin” segment where participants may have the chance to win the aforementioned prizes. After a few tries, one winner won a brand new Kata i3.
